GILLARD Vs ABBOTT - Who will win the next election to be held on 21 August 2010??

Yes, we have Bob Brown and the ‘Greens’ but no-one really anticipates that the Greens will win enough seats to govern in their own right. So…who is going to be the victors - the Labour party or the Liberals?

Some say that intention is not within our control. Indeed it is merely the phenomenon of anticipation rather than conscious instigation.
In his book Peace and Harmony in Daily Living, Ramesh Balsekar writes that “Ambrose Bierce, the renowned American journalist and author said: The mind’s sense of the prevalence of one set of influences over

Feng Shui is widely respected and practiced throughout the Western world. However what is not so well known is that the Four Pillars of Destiny is a complementary and necessary discipline in the practice of Feng Shui.

The Four Pillars of Destiny allows much greater depth and accuracy to a consultation for a home or business that is not evident when solely relying on Feng Shui. It enables the Feng Shui practitioner to adjust and tailor the Feng Shui requirements to suit the individuals concerned.

Feng Shui seems to mean different things to different people – everything from a strategically placed goldfish bowl with just the right number of goldfish to a profound sense of the order of the cosmos.

I’ve always found Juliana Abram to fit the latter category and, for that reason, we’re delighted to have her as our Feng Shui columnist here at Nova. Of course, if that goldfish bowl has been placed with conscious intent to activate the beneficial chi of the universe then it, too, has its

“Life itself is a blessing and we are much happier when we realize that life is an opportunity rather than an obligation.”

Being blessed is not usually a feeling that too many people have on a daily basis. And it is for that very reason that my husband believes that I am such a lucky person.

Whilst Feng Shui encompasses the physical environment it is much, much more than that – it goes Beyond what you can see and touch. The words Feng Shui literally translate into Wind and Water.

The Feng component of ‘Feng Shui’ refers not only to the actual wind but also to something more abstract and intangible – the invisible forces which permeate the universe.

    What is a Mudra?

Mudra’s are a symbolic, non verbal mode of communication via hand gestures and finger postures. They are often used in the depiction of various buddha’s and identify deeper meaning within the pose. Each Mudra has a specific quality that is said to be imparted to the practitioner of that particular gesture by bringing the deity nearer to them. These well defined gestures have a fixed meaning.

Today we will look at a method of Feng Shui called the Eight House or Eight MansionsSchool.

This application uses a compass called the Lo-Pan (specifically designed for Feng Shui applications) to measure the alignment of a building. It also takes into consideration the year a person was born. Armed with this information the ‘8 House’ Feng Shui practitioner can then identify auspicious and inauspicious directions for each person living within the home or office. In addition to this, there will be auspicious and inauspicious sectors for each individual within the building.
