    Some people still believe that Feng Shui practice must include rituals and ceremonies. This is in part due to the practices that some consultants use and, in part, how it is reflected in the media. It’s also possible that it is due to a considerable number of the early missionaries in China dismissing Feng Shui as superstitious nonsense, particularly when practiced in conjunction with ceremonies that had no cultural significance to these early western travelers, and almost certainly diametrically opposite to their religious beliefs

    Some consultants will practice an ‘intuitive’ style relying mostly or completely on what they feel about a particular place. Others practice with an overlay or template of a pre determined grid. Then of course you will have consultants practicing with an ordinary, hand –bearing compass.
